Green Tariff

According to the Law on Electricity: green tariff – the rate at which the wholesale electricity market of Ukraine is obliged to buy the electricity produced at the facilities of electric power from alternative energy sources (except for blast furnace and coking gases, and using water power – produced a micro, mini and small hydro power plants), including commissioned starting complex. Energy suppliers are obliged to buy electricity in the cases, amounts and at prices determined by the National Commission regulation of electric power industry of Ukraine (NERC).

The size of the ‘green’ tariff for network stations of private households commissioned to 01/07/2015.

Solar power:
for terrestrial SES: 17,0-16,0-15,0 € ct / kWh during the next three years, 10% – reduced from 2020 and 2025 pp,.
for roofing SES: 18,0 € ct / kWh,
for private households: 20,0 € ct / kWh.

Geothermal energy: 15,0 € ct / kWh
Wind power: 10,2 € ct / kWh
Hydroelectric power: 17,5, 14,0 and 10,5 € ct / kWh for micro, mini and small hydro power plants, respectively)

CHANGE !!!

NKREKP introduced new ‘green’ electricity tariffs for private households.

The National Commission, carrying out state regulation in the sphere of energy and utilities (NKREKP) Service Order dated December 29, 2016 № 2382, established a new ‘green’ tariff for electricity for private households.

For private households, which produce electricity from solar radiation electricity objects that are mounted (installed) on the roof and / or facade private households (buildings, structures and constructions), rated capacity is not more than 30 kW, and which are put into operation set the following rates:

April 1, 2013 to December 31, 2014 – 987.44 kopecks / kWh (excluding VAT);
from 1 January 2015 to 30 June 2015 – 888.10 kopecks / kWh (excluding VAT);
July 1, 2015 to December 31, 2015 – 551.54 kopecks / kWh (excluding VAT);
from January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2016 – 523.37 kopecks / kWh (excluding VAT);
from January 1, 2017 to December 31, 2019 – 498.17 kopecks / kWh (excluding VAT);
from January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2024 – 447.76 kopecks / kWh (excluding VAT);
from 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2029 – 398.83 kopecks / kWh (excluding VAT).

For private households, which produce electricity from wind power facilities, rated capacity is not more than 30 kW, and which are put into operation the following rates:

July 1, 2015 to December 31, 2019 – 320.25 kopecks / kWh (excluding VAT);
from January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2024 – 287.63 kopecks / kWh (excluding VAT);
from 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2029 – 256,50 kopecks / kWh (excluding VAT).
Accordingly, inoperative ruling NKREKP on September 29, 2016 № 1678 ‘On the establishment of’ green ‘electricity tariffs for private households’, registered in the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on October 21, 2016 under № 1374/29504.

Thus, the rate for such solar plants, put into operation in the years 2017-2019 to be reduced to 34.51 cop / kWh – to 498.17 cop / kWh, while for wind turbines are introduced into the reduced Years 2015-2019 at 22.19 kopecks / kWh – up to 320.25 kopecks / kWh (prices – without VAT).
A surcharge of 30% to the ‘green’ tariff for the use of Ukrainian production equipment is introduced until 2030, but does not apply to electric power facilities put into operation after 2025.
